Bosnian Early Season Jigs

Barbless Flies
As we start to look forward to the opening of the river season - I know it's a few
weeks away yet, but bear with us - to have any success when targeting those
early season fish usually means one technique is king - nymphing.

Here we have a unique Early Season Jig Selection for you from our man in
Bosnia. These early season nymphs are specifically chosen to give you the
widest possible choice, no matter which river conditions you face -
heavier nymphs for the higher water levels, sparsely tied nymphs for the clearer
waters and lower flows.

These flies will work in any conditions and any style of fishing - but they excel in
the early season at any of the nymphing disciplines (Long Line, Euro, French,
Spanish etc).

Here we present our Bosnian Early Season Jig Selection,
comprising five different patterns:

Red-Neck Quill Jig - weighs 0.24g
The Sputnik Jig - weighs 0.24g
Peacock Quill Jig - weighs 0.23g
March Brown Jig - weighs 0.25g
Colonel Mustard Jig - weighs 0.34g

These nymphs look super 'fishy' the quality has to be seen to be believed - if
you click on any image or link in this email you can see for yourself, as we've
got some really nice close up images on the site.
We are making these available to you only as a selection. The selection
contains two of each of the 5 patterns - in total there are 10 jig nymphs in
the selection. All tied on Ahrex specialist barbless jig hooks with
3.0mm tungsten beads. The Bosnian Early Season Jig selection is now
available for only £20.00 supplied in our eco-friendly packaging.
We only have a small number of these available (25 to be exact), so you
will need to be quick!

Our Bosnian Early Season Jig Selection contains:

Red-Neck Quill Jig

One of the most successful nymphs on any water is the red-neck pheasant tail
nymph. This variant is tied with a stripped peacock quill body and Coq de Leon
tail. The hackle is dubbed with squirrel and then a hot-spot created with orange
rabbit dubbing. Topped off with a 3mm copper coloured tungsten bead and all
attached to a size 14 Ahrex jig hook. This nymph weighs in at 0.24g.

"This nymph has been my saviour on many occasions!"; K.H. 2022. Tied on a
size 18 barbless Ahrex jig hook, with a 3.0mm silver tungsten bead. This is the
first fly I tie on when I'm fishing slow water. The body of this nymph is wrapped
in Veevus Golden Tinsel with a peacock herl thorax and brown rooster hackle.

Peacock Quill Jig

This is one of those flies which you need to see 'up close', it really deserves to
be framed, rather than fished. With a hint of blue running throughout the fly this
will be ideal for the cleared waters. Tied with a Veevus flat-braid rainbow collar
and ice blue flash dubbing on an Ahrex size 14 barbless jig hook. All topped off
with a 3.0mm copper coloured tungsten bead. This nymph weighs in at 0.23g.

March Brown Jig

Taking the March Brown nymph just that one step further with this stunning
creation. Tied on a long shank Ahrex barbless jig hook with a dark tan goose
biot body and tail, all secured with black UV resin to form an imitative hot-spot.
The thorax dubbing is a special mix of squirrel, hare's ear, ice UV and olive
rabbit hair. Topped off with a 3.0mm silver slotted tungsten bead - to help it fish
upside down. This nymph weighs in at 0.25g.

do? Fish are on the bottom and you need to get your fly down quick to have
any chance at all. Tied on a wide-gape Ahrex jig hook with a 3.0mm
Orange tungsten. The body is made from light olive goose biots secured with
