Hi from Richard, Firstly, I'd like to personally thank you for being a valued member of our emailcommunity. In this email I want to let you know what our plans are, as far as emails go for2022. I know we do send quite a few emails and some of you will be newermembers. When I send an email to you my goal is that every one I sendmust contain information that you can either learn from or make use of in yourown fishing. For the 2022 season, I will be putting a little more structure behind the weeklyemails I send. I'm letting you know now, in advance, so you can make the mostof them. So what are we going to do? Tooty Frooties - Whatever Happened to Them?

I received some nymphs from Stan (of Nymphevolution fame) a couple of months ago - he was experimenting again! As soon as I opened the box, they brought to mind the above sweets from my childhood - Tooty Frooties. It's always dangerous to start thinking about food part way through the day - Top Tip: Always go food shopping when you're not hungry - it costs much less! My appetite piqued, I called in to my local newsagents on the way home to buy some of the above sweets - and to my surprise, they were nowhere to be found - after chatting to the newsagent (a fellow club member) it became clear that they were not available anymore.

I always eagerly look forwards to the start of the Grayling season and, just like the salmon season is welcomed in with a dram of Whiskey, I always like to welcome in the Grayling season with an offering to the fish - in this case, a nice card to Mr & Mrs Grayling - I know it's sad but it's not let me down yet!

Our man in Bosnia has been on the tools again - here's a stunning secret nymph selection

Our 'man in Bosnia' has been at it again - with some more very tempting nymphs - especially tied for success in the late part of the trout season & for early grayling. We try to plan all of our fly selection at least 3 months in advance, when asked what we were planning for the end of the trout season, we wanted to do something a little different, so we asked him to surprise us and tie something which he would use himself, for trout, grayling and softmouth trout in Bosnia.

The Funky French Caddis

The Funky French Caddis This nymph is tied to perfection (as is usual with any of Stan's flies) - andhe's been experimenting again! This is a slightly lighter caddis imitation, butwith a twist - a lovely creamy body topped with a variety of bead and collarcolours.A great fly to try at this time of year. Caddis larvae are found in all of ourrivers and stillwaters, with grayling and trout of all kinds gorging on them asthey become dislodged in the heavy flows and higher water. Trundle one ofthese along the river bed, or suspend one under a dry fly on your favouriteStillwater/reservoir and hang on! Let us we introduce you to Stan's Funky Caddis Selection which includes 6different colour combinations: Pink Funk CaddisFluorescent White Funky CaddisOrange Funky CaddisLime Funky CaddisBlack Funky CaddisPurple Funky Caddis Each nymph is tied with a creamy translucent body of glass beads which isthen coated with a tough resin - making these nymphs very long-lasting.
