As we start to look forward to the opening of the river season - I know it's a few weeks away yet, but bear with us - to have any success when targeting those early season fish usually means one technique is king - nymphing.
Here we have a unique set of Early Season Nymphs specifically curated for use in the early parts of the trout season (and for the Grayling in the next few weeks).
These early-season nymphs have been specifically chosen to give you the widest possible choice, no matter which river conditions you face - all tied on jig hooks, the heavier nymphs for the higher water levels, sparsely tied nymphs for the clearer waters and lower flows. We've even included nymphs with pink beads for when the water is coloured, or you want to target late-season Grayling.
These flies will work in any conditions and style of fishing, but they excel in the early season at any nymphing discipline (Long Line, Euro, French, Spanish etc).
Here we present our Early Season Nymph Selection, comprising five different patterns:
- Silver Dennis Jig - weighs 0.24g
- Pink Hares Ear Jig - weighs 0.24g
- Red Tag Dennis Jig - weighs 0.23g
- Pink Pheasant Tail Jig - weighs 0.25g
- Pink Tag Jig - weighs 0.34g

We are making these available to you as either a heavily discounted selection or as individuals. The discounted selection contains two of each of the 5 patterns (in sizes 14 & 18) - in total there are 20 jig nymphs in this selection.

Our Early Season Nymph Selection contains:
A heavy Eastern European style nymph with a red and black ribbed body, silver tungsten bead and dyed CdC hackle, tied on a strong jig hook. A classic combination of colours for those early-season fishing trips. This tungsten nymph pattern is very successful in faster/deeper water.

A slim Eastern European style nymph with a hares ear body, sparkle collar and topped off with a slotted Pink tungsten bead. A twist on the classic Gold Ribbed Hares Ear nymph with a little added weight. A tungsten nymph pattern which is very successful in clear water.

Another slim Eastern European style nymph with a pheasant tail body, sparkle collar and topped off with a slotted Pink tungsten bead. A twist on the classic Pheasant Tail nymph with a little added weight. Another tungsten nymph pattern which is very successful in clear water.
