We've trawled through all of the engagement we've had with all of our customers in July and August for the past few years - trying to work out which flies are the most successful (which is very different from flies which are the most popular)! Our "Summer Success" selection is a set of 16 flies to save you a blank this summer! All of these flies have been used successfully in July & August by our customers over the past few years, and are noted for their blank-saving ability.
Descriptions of each fly:
The Freebird - A darker version of this popular klinkhamer style fly - these work especially well in the later afternoons and evenings. These have been tied with a contrasting yellow Z-Lon post, which has exceptional buoyancy and sits just right on the water. This selection contains 2 each of these in sizes 16, 18, 20 & 22.

Five Shades of Grey - A lighter version of this popular klinkhamer style fly - these work especially well in the evenings. These have been tied with a contrasting grey Z-Lon post, which has exceptional buoyancy and sits just right on the water. This selection contains 2 each of these in sizes 16, 18, 20 & 22.
A stunning fly, ideal as a general initiation of most up-winged flies on the water in the warmer months.

Our 15ft Tapered Leaders is made up of an extremely long tapered leader made from monofilament. The taper is made up of a steep but gradual taper, designed to be fished on long and soft fly rods.
The advantage of using a longer tapered leader is that you can present your small flies with absolutely zero drag - at both close and long range. This allows even the smallest flies to be cast easily.

We are supplying 2 x 15ft 'White Label' Tapered Leaders, these are ideal when combined with your choice of tippet for presenting small flies with no drag - keeping all of the leader off the water.
