Originally created in 1979 by Norman Greenwood (then tweaked by his Grandson) the Sweet William is one fly that he will always be remembered for. An evolution of the John Storey, another famous North Yorkshire Fly, it gets its name from the hackle used:
- Sweet: a honey hackle
- William: was Normans father
Just like the John Storey it has a Peacock herl body with a 'sail-like' wing this time with added Golden Pheasant and red in the tail.
This fly is available in sizes 14 & 16.
