The Greenwell's Glory is one of the most famous flies used in the British Isles. The pattern was first tied as a winged wet fly in the nineteenth century (ours is the dry version). It is named after Canon William Greenwell and even after one hundred plus years it still give a good account of itself as a great imitation of the olive upwinged flies.
This version is tied with a waxed olive green body and a white sighting post.
This fly is available in either size 14 or 16.
