The Ginger Tom v2.1 - One of the most successful Grayling nymphs in UK rivers!
This is a variation on one of Steve Skuce’s patterns, from his excellent book (Grayling Flies - do buy a copy, you will not regret it), originally developed on the Wylye in Wiltshire. This specific “ginger” colour is key.
Tied on a jig hook in sizes 12, 14, 16 & 18 with a 'ginger' dubbed abdomen and mix of hare's ear and flash body.
These flies are now available as a selection - 3 each of sizes 12, 14, 16 & 18 (a total of 12 nymphs).
