Suitable for both Rivers & Stillwaters
The New and Improved Barbless Dinkhamer Selection (i.e. Klinkhamers specifically for the Klink 'n' Dink method), is a selection of 4 styles of commonly used klinkhamers with tippet rings tied into the tails. In total there are 12 flies supplied in our new eco-friendly packaging. These flies are also known as Dinkhammer(s) or Kilinkhammer(s).
These flies have been proven deadly on both rivers and stillwaters (try suspending a buzzer below and letting the wind move the dinkhamer).
Descriptions and photos of each fly can be found below:
Adams Dinkhamer - Tied with a white post and tan body (it is easily seen in these darker afternoons and evenings) and a tippet ring in the tail. The selection contains 3 size 12.
Olive Dinkhamer - Tied with a pink and white post and olive body (it is easily seen in these darker afternoons and evenings) and a tippet ring in the tail. The selection contains 3 size 14.
Klink n Dinkhamer - Tied with an orange post and sparkle body (it is easily seen in these darker afternoons and evenings) and a tippet ring in the tail. The selection contains 3 size 14.
Black Dinkhamer - Tied with a pink post and black body (it is easily seen in these darker afternoons and evenings) and a tippet ring in the tail. The selection contains 3 size 14.
The tippet ring allows you to fish these using the klink 'n' dink method (a bit of a sticking point when using barbless hooks!).
- Tie a length of tippet to the tippet ring - I generally use 1.5 x the depth I want to fish at.
- Tie your nymph to the other end of the tippet.
- Cast upstream and watch the Dinkhamer for any signs of a take on the nymph - or the Dinkhamer itself.
The above price includes 12 Dinkhamer flies supplied in our eco-friendly packaging.
