Bosnian Indicator Olives - Ideal Summer Dry Flies
We all know the feeling when fish start to rise all around you! These Indicator Olives are tied on a thin wire Gamakatsu F11B barbless size 14 hook. The body is made from Vevus thread, for the wings we've used wild duck feathers split with a fluoro orange hot spot between wings. The thorax is dubbed with Pine Squirrel.
On my local small stream, it's been quite hard fishing of late, especially with the recent hot weather and low water levels we are seeing in North Yorkshire. Even with the low levels, I am still finding that when the fish are playing hard to get, the "go-to" tactic is to go small and imitative. Using a longer leader allows for a more gentle presentation, especially when combined with a longer lighter rod employing this method I've caught in mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Ghost Indicator Olive - A light olive thread body (with grey ribbing) and red indicator post between split CdC wings, we are supplying 4 each of these in this selection, tied on a size 14 Gamakatsu F11B barbless hook.
Chocolate Indicator Olive - A chocolate-coloured thread body (with yellow ribbing) and red indicator post between split CdC wings, we are supplying 4 each of these in this selection, tied on a size 14 Gamakatsu F11B barbless hook.
