Bosnian Comparadun Selection
New in from Bosnia and perfectly tied. Comparaduns are one of the most versatile 'up winged' patterns in existence representing anything from a Mayfly to a March Brown to a Blue Winged Olive. The way the hair is stacked in the tying is the key to the success (or not) of the fly. Comparaduns will float all day without any aid such as gink. They will also sit quite low in the water, giving the perfect profile. They are most commonly used during any up winged insect hatch.
Comparaduns are tied with deer hair, it is a very special fly tying material used for wings, tails, and bodies. Why is deer hair so special? Deer hare is hair with lots of air pockets inside each strand and when tied properly it is extremely buoyant. It can be used in both slow and fast water.
This selection contains 8 Comparadun's direct from Bosnia in fours colour variations (Grey Adams, Olive, Brown Rabbit & White Rabbit), tied on size 14 Partridge SLD2 hooks. This selection contains 2 of each colour (8 flies in total).
These flies are only available as a selection. Just choose the colour and click on "add to cart", you can then adjust the quantities in your cart.
