The Anglers Arcade - from Barbless Flies

We're a pretty geeky bunch here at Barbless Flies, and our interest is regularly piqued when we see something really exceptional - be it a unique reel seat on a custom rod, or a nicely tied fly - I know, we're sad like that. But we regularly receive products which are the best quality you can buy, and because of that quality - we don't receive many of them. We have found from previous experience that if we let our loyal email community know about it - you generally feel the same way. But having so few of a product generally means that we are disappointing 90% of our community as the products are sold before they can get to them - so we've created The Anglers Arcade.

This is an area of our website where we can showcase the very finest that Fly Fishing has to offer, but as you would expect - we only have very few available (in most cases, only one). Imagine walking down one of those classically architected Victorian arcades, which is stuffed full of boutique shops selling fly fishing equipment - that's what we hope this page will reflect. We've one-off rods from specialist rod builders and other one-off items. Keep checking back as stock will change on a weekly basis. We are of the opinion that in order to develop a perfect product there is no better way than spending long hours testing it - in real conditions. As smooth as silk! We decided to dip our toes into the world of specialist silk fly lines after spotting they were made in Yorkshire, so we contacted Ian Moxon (the maker) and asked if we could supply them alongside our cane rods, and he agreed - so here they are. These silk lines have been designed and made with a 'fine tip' which effectively means they have a very thin 'built-in' furled leader, so you just attach a level piece of tippet to the end.

We think fly fishing is often overcomplicated, particularly the kit, so this pack is designed to take just the things you need and have them close to hand. This pack will help you focus on the things that really matter, so you can make the most of your time on the water. These Nidd Fishing Packs are now supplied with the chest pack conversion straps, to let you directly attach it to your waders.

"Classic Salmon Flies"

We've had a few requests from customers to see if we could provide some salmon flies tied in the classic 'fully dressed' style. There are really only for display purposes (as the real Junckle Cock feathers are only tied to one side of the fly).
