Back in Black. We have been testing some flies which we have had made up, to test a few theories out. These flies are all black with either black, copper, white or silver tungsten beads. We have had some fantastic success targeting grayling with these, especially in the smaller sizes.
Black Tungsten Herl (BTH). This nymph is tied using a black tungsten bead with a black peacock herl body. We had these tied for us to try in both gin clear and murkier waters and has proved itself successful in both. Designed to catch fish, not fishermen!
